Murray Shore Pharmacy is an OCP accredited community pharmacy located in Toronto, Canada, and has been in business since 1981. Mr. Shore, the owner and designated manager, received his Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) degree from the University of Toronto, in 1970, and then did a one-year residency at the Toronto General Hospital.
Subsequently, Mr. Shore worked in Hospital Pharmacy for several years, and then transferred to Community Pharmacy. Mr. Shore has been in the forefront in patient compliance for medications and did his pharmacy thesis on "Safe Use of Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation."
During his residency in 1970, Mr. Shore published an article in the Canadian Pharmaceutical Journal titled, "A Time for Drugs." This article outlined the proper time for taking medication. He received many requests worldwide for copies of the article.
Mr. Shore took a course in Special Compounding in Houston, Texas, and has updated his knowledge in this field by attending compounding seminars, as well as networking with colleagues. Mr. Shore has developed a specialty in this field. He has been solving patients' problems by fitting the medication to the patient, not the patient to the medication.
